This is the unit that dims the gauge cluster lights, located inside the gauge cluster on the right hand side. These are reasonable easy to exchange. Once you remove the cluster, it's 2 philips screwes and it pulls right out from behind the cluster. A defective switch here will cause you to have no gauge cluster lights, though the other dashboard lighting on an independent dimmer located to the left of the gauge cluster should still work. - crazy Saab!
