Listed here is a good used Saab ignition switch switch from a recent crash damaged 1999 9-5 Sedan. This unit functions properly. This unit is correct for most 1994-1998 900 cars, as well as 1999 Saab 9-5's and MOST pre 2002 Saab 9-3's - as always your best bet to be sure of fitment is to check your original part number. This unit will work with either the 4409553 4946307 units, and you may receive either. Typical problems with this switch include - Loss of return function - unit "sticks" in start position - Defective contact units, which can cause a whole host of problems including no start, or non functional electrical items. there are many contacts in this unit, if some don't work, several very strange things can happen electrically when attempting to start. - failure of the key in ignition indicator This unit was checked for all of this, and for normal function, it works great! Please note, this unit IS frequently misdiagnosed, when in-fact the problem is a defective transmission neutral safety switch / range sensor.
