There are several different types of these for Subaru XT-6's - as always with this type of component your best bet is to match the part number to the one on your original ECU. A faulty ECU is one of the most common no start or random stalling problems with these cars. These can also cause issues with erroneous check engine lights as well as emission control & cold or hot start problems. An erroneous check engine light is especially problematic, as the car will not pass the emissions portion of the test at the annual state inspection.This should fit some 1988 1989 1990 & 1991 model year cars! again, check your original part number. These are located in your trunk, under the top deck. They are easy to access & check the part number off of. Always carry a spare!
