Up for sale is a good working VW ignition amplifier.  This is a good used, Genuine Original TELEFUNKEN, Made in Germany unit, which was removed from a good running crashdamaged car.  -  Yes, you can get these cheap, china-made aftermarket for cheaper... but this is a genuine made in germany unit!  in Volkswagen applications, you typically will find these bolted to the ECU case.

These generally last around 150,000 before a failure, but when it does fail it will prevent the car from starting. If you have spark from the coil but not at the spark plugs, this is often times your problem. This is the device that "hears" the hall or crank sensor in the distributor, fires the spark plugs and tells the ECU, "we are good to go, turn on the fuel pump and start working!" Generally if there is a problem with the ignition system on VW's it's either this unit or the wiring to the hall or crank sensor that goes bad. These are fairly easy to replace, and they are over $290 from the dealer for an OEM unit. The part # on this unit is 191905351B, I also have 191905351A and 191905351C and 211905351D - Specify which one you want at the sale, and you got it.This will fit many different VW's, and others. Vanagons, Jettas, Golfs, Scirocco, Passat, possibly more models, your best bet is to match the part number with the one you are replacing. The OEM manufacturer on these for VW was either Bosch Siemens or Telefunken depending on the year, the one you receive may be any of these - but they are all Genuine original equipment parts, NOT cheap aftermarket china made.
