A TCU problem can manifest itself as a transmission problem, but can be difficult to tell if it's that or the transmission itself or the control unit. These TCU's new cost is often times as much as a new transmission itself. At this price buy it and throw it on the shelf if you plan to drive one of these fine cars for a while as these are over $2300 from Audi! Always your best bet is to match the part numbers with the part you need.
